August 20th 2008 Advance Medical Rehabilitation Center celebrated their first anniversary at their 1820 Windsor Road facility with an open house and ribbon cutting ceremony. Mayor Darryl Lindberg, Senator Dave Winters and other civic dignatories were in attendance. 103 FM's Christina did a live broadcast and Dr Shih was interviewed by Channel 13 and 23 news. The Rockford Riverhawks mascot Rocko also flew in for the festivities. Lunch was provided for the guests who could also receive a free back massage by AMR's therapists.
